Tour Overview

Tour Itinerary :

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi – A Historic Welcome to India

Your journey begins as you arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. Upon exiting the terminal, you’ll be greeted by a warm smile and traditional welcome by our local tour representative. With assistance, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in a private air-conditioned car. En route, you’ll pass the tree-lined boulevards of New Delhi, catching a first glimpse of the colonial architecture that defines the heart of the city.

Depending on your arrival time, the day is free for you to rest or take an optional evening drive around India Gate, a war memorial dedicated to Indian soldiers, and Rashtrapati Bhavan, the residence of the President of India. You may also visit Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, a peaceful Sikh temple with a reflective sarovar (water tank) — a beautiful introduction to India’s spiritual inclusiveness.

Settle into your hotel and prepare for the adventures ahead.

Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 2: Old and New Delhi – A Tapestry of Time

After breakfast, begin your full-day exploration of Delhi — a city that has seen the rise and fall of empires, and still stands as a symbol of resilience, diversity, and energy. Your morning will be dedicated to the charms of Old Delhi, the former capital of the Mughals.

Start with a visit to Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque, built by Shah Jahan in 1656. The mosque’s massive courtyard, marble domes, and calligraphy-covered minarets offer a magnificent setting for reflection. From here, hop on a traditional cycle rickshaw and navigate through Chandni Chowk, Delhi’s oldest and busiest market. Smell the spices, see shops selling silver jewelry, dried fruits, and fabrics, and absorb the chaos that defines this part of town.

Then drive past the Red Fort (view from outside), a red sandstone citadel and former Mughal seat of power. Visit Raj Ghat, a serene memorial marking the cremation spot of Mahatma Gandhi, a leader who shaped India's freedom struggle.

In the afternoon, discover the planned grandeur of New Delhi. Visit Qutub Minar, the 73-meter-high victory tower; Humayun’s Tomb, the Mughal monument that inspired the design of the Taj Mahal; and the Lotus Temple, a modern marvel of faith open to people of all religions. End your day with a drive down Rajpath, passing the stately Parliament House and India Gate.

Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 3: Delhi to Agra – Gateway to Mughal Grandeur (220 km / ~4 hrs)

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Agra via the Yamuna Expressway. Agra, once the capital of the mighty Mughal Empire, is home to architectural wonders that narrate tales of love, ambition, and artistry.

On arrival, check into your hotel and refresh. Later, begin your Agra exploration with a guided visit to Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This red sandstone fortress was built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 and later embellished by Shah Jahan. Walk through its many courtyards, palaces, and mosques — including the exquisite Mussamman Burj, from where Shah Jahan is said to have gazed at the Taj Mahal during his final days.

Next, head to Mehtab Bagh, a garden complex across the Yamuna River, perfectly aligned with the Taj Mahal. As the sun begins to set, enjoy a postcard-perfect view of the Taj’s white marble glowing with soft orange and pink hues — a preview of tomorrow’s visit.

Overnight stay in Agra.

Day 4: Agra to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri – Legacy of Two Dynasties (245 km / ~5 hrs)

Wake up early for a magical sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Marvel at the changing colors of the sky as the first rays of sun strike the white marble. Built by Shah Jahan as a tribute to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj took over 22 years to complete and stands as a timeless symbol of love and craftsmanship.

Return to the hotel for breakfast and check out. Begin your journey to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. En route, make a stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a deserted Mughal city built by Akbar in the 16th century. Walk through its palatial courtyards, the majestic Buland Darwaza, the tomb of Salim Chishti, and Diwan-i-Khas with its legendary central pillar.

Continue your drive through the changing landscape, from the flat plains of Uttar Pradesh to the colorful deserts of Rajasthan. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in to your heritage hotel. The evening is at leisure — you can stroll around local markets or enjoy a Rajasthani cultural dance performance at your hotel.

Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 5: Jaipur Sightseeing – A Royal Affair with History

Today is dedicated to exploring the architectural grandeur and royal heritage of Jaipur, the famed Pink City of India. Start your day with a drive to Amber Fort, an imposing structure set against the Aravalli hills. Inside, admire the Sheesh Mahal, Ganesh Pol, and mirrored halls that glitter even in dim light.

On your return, stop for photographs at Jal Mahal, a palace floating in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. Then visit the City Palace, still home to Jaipur’s royal family. The museum section houses exquisite weapons, royal costumes, and Mughal-era art. Adjacent to the palace is the Jantar Mantar, an 18th-century astronomical observatory with massive stone instruments that still work with accuracy.

In the afternoon, admire the intricate windows of the Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds, built for royal ladies to observe street festivities unseen. Spend your evening exploring Jaipur’s colorful markets, famous for gemstones, blue pottery, and block-print fabrics.

Optional: Enjoy a royal dinner at a heritage haveli or palace hotel.

Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 6: Jaipur to Delhi – Transition to the Capital (275 km / ~5 hrs)

After a leisurely breakfast, drive back to Delhi in the comfort of your private vehicle. En route, you can opt for lunch at the Neemrana Fort Palace (optional stop), a beautifully restored heritage hotel set in the Aravalli Hills.

By afternoon or early evening, you’ll reach Delhi and check in to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. You may choose to rest or explore a nearby local market like Connaught Place, known for colonial architecture and Indian handicraft emporiums.

Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 7: Delhi to Amritsar – Entering the Sacred Land (By Flight or Train)

After an early breakfast, proceed to the airport or railway station for your journey to Amritsar, the spiritual and cultural heart of Punjab. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel.

In the evening, head to the Golden Temple for the Palki Sahib ceremony — the symbolic closing of the Guru Granth Sahib for the night. Witness the temple bathed in golden light and listen to the melodious kirtan (devotional hymns) as you walk around the marble pathway encircling the Sarovar (holy tank).

Overnight stay in Amritsar.

Day 8: Amritsar Sightseeing – Devotion, History & Patriotism

Begin your morning with a second visit to the Golden Temple, the holiest shrine of Sikhism. Walk through the vast community kitchen (Langar Hall), where thousands are fed daily in an incredible display of service and equality. Visit the Akal Takht and the Guru-ka-Langar, a symbol of Sikh communal harmony.

Later, visit Jallianwala Bagh, the memorial site of the tragic 1919 massacre where hundreds lost their lives under British rule. The preserved bullet holes and eternal flame pay tribute to India’s struggle for independence.

After lunch, drive to the Wagah Border, about 30 km away. Join the lively crowd to watch the flag-lowering ceremony between Indian and Pakistani soldiers. The synchronized drill, patriotic chants, and electrifying atmosphere make this one of the most unique experiences in India.

Overnight stay in Amritsar.

Day 9: Amritsar to Delhi – Farewell India

Enjoy a peaceful breakfast at your hotel before checking out. Depending on your departure time, you’ll be transferred to Amritsar Airport for your return flight to Delhi or onward destination.
