Day 1: Arrival in Jodhpur – The Blue City
Arrive in Jodhpur, the gateway to the Thar Desert. Our representative will greet you at the airport or railway station and escort you to your hotel, a heritage haveli or boutique property offering traditional hospitality.
After check-in and rest, explore the city’s vibrant soul. Visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, one of India’s finest, perched above the city with panoramic views. Walk through the fort’s courtyards, museums, and ramparts, each telling stories of Rajput valor.
Later, visit the Jaswant Thada, a serene marble cenotaph near the fort.
In the evening, stroll through the Clock Tower Market and sample local sweets and snacks like mirchi bada and makhaniya lassi.
Overnight stay in Jodhpur.
Day 2: Jodhpur to Osian – Desert Temples & Camel Safari (Approx. 1.5 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Osian, a historic town known for its ancient Jain and Hindu temples and its peaceful desert environment. En route, you’ll pass scattered villages and sandy landscapes, getting your first feel of the desert rhythm.
Upon arrival, check into a luxury desert camp or eco-boutique retreat nestled among the dunes. In the afternoon, visit the intricately carved Sachiya Mata Temple and Mahavira Jain Temple, both over a thousand years old.
As the sun begins to set, enjoy your first camel safari, riding into the golden desert and watching the sun dip behind the dunes. Return to the camp for a traditional folk music and dance performance, followed by a warm, homemade Rajasthani dinner
around the bonfire.
Overnight in Osian boutique camp.
Day 3: Osian to Jaisalmer (Approx. 4.5 hrs)
Wake up to the calm sounds of the desert, enjoy breakfast, and then drive towards Jaisalmer, the famed Golden City. As you enter the region, you’ll notice the shift to golden sandstone architecture and vast open desert.
Upon arrival, check into your boutique hotel or haveli-style accommodation near the Jaisalmer Fort. After some rest, set out for an evening exploration of the living fort — one of the very few inhabited forts in the world. Stroll through the narrow lanes, visit
Jain temples, and admire the traditional homes, some of which are over 500 years old.
Enjoy the local bazaars filled with leather goods, mirror-work textiles, and handcrafted jewelry. End your day with a rooftop dinner overlooking the glowing fort walls.
Overnight in Jaisalmer.
Day 4: Jaisalmer Sightseeing – Desert Culture & Golden Architecture
Today is dedicated to exploring Jaisalmer’s cultural richness and golden sandstone beauty. Start with a visit to Patwon ki Haveli, a cluster of five historic mansions adorned with stunning jharokhas and carvings. Then see Salim Singh ki Haveli and Nathmal
ki Haveli, both marvels of Rajput architecture.
After lunch, visit Gadisar Lake, a peaceful spot with temples and ghats — great for bird watching and photography. You can opt for a short boat ride or simply relax at the lakefront café.
In the late afternoon, visit Bada Bagh, a royal cenotaph complex offering serene sunset views. Return to your boutique hotel or enjoy an optional night tour of the fort walls.
Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.
Day 5: Jaisalmer to Khuri – Remote Desert Life & Dunes Stay (Approx. 1 hr)
After breakfast, leave the city behind and drive to Khuri, a peaceful and less-touristic desert village southwest of Jaisalmer. On arrival, check into a boutique desert camp or traditional mud cottage set near the sand dunes.
Khuri offers a more authentic and raw desert experience — no crowds, only silence, sand, and stars. In the afternoon, take a camel ride or go for a jeep safari across untouched dunes and small settlements.
At sunset, sip chai on the dunes and enjoy a local music performance by Manganiyar musicians. Dinner is a rustic affair, prepared in local style, and served under the open desert sky. Enjoy stargazing and stories by the campfire.
Overnight in Khuri desert camp.
Day 6: Khuri to Bikaner via Desert Villages (Approx. 6 hrs)
Bid farewell to Khuri’s quiet charm and head towards Bikaner, the desert city known for its forts and sweets. En route, drive past desert villages, grazing camels, and traditional homes — ideal for impromptu photo stops and local interactions.
Arrive in Bikaner by late afternoon and check into a heritage haveli or boutique hotel. In the evening, visit the Rampuria Haveli cluster, architectural gems showcasing Bikaner’s wealthy merchant history.
Stroll through Station Road Market, known for Bikaneri bhujia, sweets, and handicrafts.
